“ Updated review, 2/4/25. They have a full bar, daily lunch specials, Tuesday Taco Specials, kid menu and a nice patio area. Had the Whiskey Burger and it was delicious 1/2 pound burger with cheese onions and a very flavorful whiskey sauce , the burger is large enough to share or for 2 meals, the onion straws are delicious , crispy and plentiful. ”

“ Joined some friends after indoor soccer at Vetta down the street. This place was fabulous! The burger of the month was delicious and my wife and kids all loved their meals as well. Kids eat free on Mon and Tues I believe (they did on Tues when we were there) Great bar with a large table section. A true bar and grill! I can't wait to go back. Service was great! Thank you for a great time! ”
“ The food was good and the portion sizes were adequate. The prices were reasonable. The service was pretty good too, though could be a bit faster. There is seating in both inside and outside. There are tables that can be pushed together for groups. Reservations are recommended for larger groups. On my visit, I did have an issue with the check. The management was super friendly and resolved the issue immediately with a call. They gave the impression they want to do what it takes to keep their customers. I plan on going back. ”
“ The food and service was very good. It is a a sports bar but it was not loud (Cardinals opening day). I had the smoked wings and stuffed mushrooms. The wings were big and had great flavor. The mushrooms were also very good (and huge) wish they were hotter. The place is family friendly and a nice atmosphere ”
“ l'll start by telling you about our AMAZING server, Kevyn. There were 8 of us in our group. We dine out together every week, so I'm somewhat used to servers struggling with getting our orders correct. I know I would!!! 5 of us got the Fish Fry. Although we all got coleslaw with it, we all got a different 2nd side. The other 3 ordered something else completely different. Kevyn didn't write anything down. Just walked around and talked to each of us. And several of us asked questions in addition to placing our order. I expected that she might remember our orders, or at least close, but would get them confused when she brought them out. Again, I know I would! But no, she remembered every single one. Exactly. Brought out the food and confidently placed each plate in front of the correct person. I was blown away. Don't know how she does it, but AMAZING! And so friendly. Kept our drinks refilled and chatted all the time. I had been told about the Fish Fry in advance. And told it's extremely good. I've never had anything bad at Gettemeier's so I believed it. In fact, right now, they have an entire menu for Lenten options. One of my favorites at Gettemeier's is the wings, but my significant other isn't eating meat on Fridays but had to get in on $2 off Apps during Happy Hour, so got the Mozzarella Sticks as an appetizer instead this time. Oh my gosh! So good!! One of my friends got the Onion Straws with spicy ranch dipping sauce. WOW!!! In my opinion, although they're very thin (so the texture is very different), they'd give Texas Tonions or a Bloomin Onion a run for their money. And their spicy ranch dipping sauce tasted identical to the sauces that go with these. The fish was extremely tender and flaky. I'm not good at being able to identify fish, so don't really know if it was Cod or Haddock or something else, but it was DELICIOUS!!! They didn't skimp on the sides. I couldn't finish everything and I only got the 1/2 pound Fish Fry. Gettemeier's is a traditional sports bar. As such, there are A LOT of tvs. Everywhere. We went on a Saturday night when there weren't very many sporting events on, but I've been here on a Sunday afternoon during Football season. Every tv is tuned in to a different channel so you can watch most every game currently going on. They also have Keno. I'd never played Keno before coming here, but fun game! Although I didn't get to get in on any of these specials this time, right now they have Chili Mac (I'm not sure how much longer this will be available), free team trivia on Thursday nights, and specials when the Blues, Cardinals, Battlehawks, STL City SC, and Mizzou play. If you're looking for an upscale, quiet, elegant restaurant - Gettemeier's isn't where you want to go. But if you're looking for a sports bar with a relaxed atmosphere, OUTSTANDING food, friendly servers, and a moderately priced menu - you need to check out Gettemeier's. ”
“ I used to visit this place all the time when it was in Florissant. One of my fave places back then and it's still just as tasty now. It definitely gives you sports bar vibes. Got seated fast in a nice area and the service was great. They had "Taco Tuesday" specials which is what made me decide to give this location a try! We had $3 & $4 tacos and margaritas. All of it was pretty tasty but I really loved the mushroom taco. Definitely a new favorite of mine! I'll be back! ”
